#BRONICA RF645 FLASH SYNC SPEED MANUAL#
Bronica RF645 if you prefer a manual focus, manual wind rangefinder type camera. The camera is not an alternative to a Leica M camera, it is not in the same league, but as a cheap MF camera which is quiet and simple to use, and ultimately gives very good results, it is hard to beat. Flash sync at all speeds (leaf shutter lenses). If you need flash synchronization at any speed, the leaf shutter camera. Any sort of metering inside has to be done with a separate meter otherwise the camera will underexpose the film quite badly. The lenses are too slow in dim light and the max shutter speed is too slow in really bright light! The other major problem I have had with the camera is the inaccurate metering in low light levels. the body sets the shutter speed and aperture in the lens electronically. The camera's achilles heel is its woefully slow lenses and its 1/500 sec fastest shutter speed. The Bronica RF645 is a medium format rangefinder with interchangeable lenses. The shutter is quiet but does make a very strange noise, and because of the lack of mirror, it can be handheld to very slow shutter speeds. Mine has got a problem when focussing at distance as the rangefinder accuracy does start to waver somewhat. I believe the bronica has a faster shutter speed of 1/750 but only when the lens is stopped down, the konica has a limit of 1/250 (not sure if this is a related issue).

The camera viewfinder is very bright and easy to see and the rangefinder patch is very good. The viewfinder magnification is very similar to my 0.85 M6's which is great for accurate focussing but does mean that a separate viewfinder is required fo the 45mm lens. The upright viewfinder is not a problem even for a seasoned Leica user.

The shutter speed dial has evenly spaced speeds from 1 second to 1/1000, plus B and X. The camera is reasonably light, well built, with a really good feel and balance to it. The left side of the camera has the ASA flash sync port, the shutter speed dial, and one of two strap lugs. This Bronica system has a 100 percent electronic interface between.

The camera creates 16 6x4.5 cm images on a roll of 120 film or 32 pictures from a roll of 220. Overall I am very pleased with the camera, the quality of the results shot with it are very good. Bronica's RF645 system consists of a rangefinder camera body, a 65mm f/4 normal lens, and a 45mm f/4 wide-angle lens (equivalent to a 28mm perspective on a 35mm camera). Sometimes I needed that little extra quality that MF gives you. FOR SALE This is the exceptionally rare flash dedicated to the highly sought after. and also with the high speed sync of the new. (with close-to-MF sensor dimensions) like the Mamiya 6 or Bronica RF645. I bought this camera as a medium format alternative to my M6's. BRONICA RF645 MEDIUM Format Rangefinder Speedlight RF20 flash - 596.00. Even PhaseOne sync speed is 1/125 if you use the focal plane shutter.
